I just spent an hour organizing my Chrome bookmarks into neat folders knowing that I only use the ones on my bookmarks bar.

I should be preparing for our flight to New Zealand tomorrow.

Glad I have a Hobbies folder full of broken links.

With ample time to prepare for our travels to New Zealand and South America or to study for my upcoming teaching exams, I am in the library researching my ancestry. Despite many generations living in Kings County, New York, I am having trouble sifting through the information. It doesn’t help that my last name is common and my mother’s maiden name is a doozy that was most likely butchered by US immigration officials.

It is fun too look at the handwriting on census forms from the early 20th century. The letters are surprisingly consistent and intelligible. My handwriting is a mix of caps, cursive, and pictograms. I could probably write my memoirs with emoji—I would only need enough characters to fill a tweet.

karijetaime is sitting across from me trying to think of a new name for her blog. Somehow, her not being able to think of a new name is my fault. She is probably right. I always liked karijetaime. Probably because I thought of it.

Maybe I should challenge her to a game of QuizUp. Or minigolf. We are in a library after all.

karijetaime:

Because my Halloween is going to be just as amazing as Christina’s (Halloween on a Thursday is dumb and also I’m done with Halloween in the city and can’t wait for suburban life with trick-or-treaters), here is that time Colin and I were 1/2 of the Golden Girls because our Blanche and Rose bailed on us approximately 3 hours before our Halloween party. He vowed when we started dating that he would never do a couple costume with me, and he has ended up doing one every single year since.

It’s like a glimpse into the future. I already have the pink pantsuit on layaway.
